Crystal and Henllys Lodges

Crystal and Henllys Lodges

Tuesday evening Crystal Lodge passed Brother Paul Urie of Henllys Lodge to the second degree, making him a Fellow Craft Freemason. The officers of Crystal Lodge delivered an excellent ceremony culminating in Worshipful Brother Graham Murphy delivering an outstanding extended explanation of the Second Degree Tracing Board.

10 members of Henllys Lodge, including the Worshipful Master, were in attendance supporting their Brother. A huge thank you from the Brethren of Henllys to the Brethren of Crystal Lodge for assisting and supporting them with such a fine ceremony and festive board.

Henllys Double Initiation

Henllys Double Initiation

This evening Mr Luke Shephard and Mr Gabrielle Mier joined Henllys Lodge, becoming Brother Luke and Brother Gabrielle. With the Provincial Grand Master present the Worshipful Master, W. Bro. David Coleman, ably supported by his officers performed an excellent ceremony initiating our two newly made Brothers into Freemasonry. The welcome continued after the ceremony at a well attended Festive Board with numerous visiting Brethren.

Henllys Lodge presented a cheque to the Monmouthshire Light Blues of £1,000 for Teddies For Loving Care (TLC).
“A hospital visit can be frightening for a young child, especially in an emergency situation. Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) is a way of providing much-needed comfort to children attending A&E Units, helping to reduce their anxiety and improve their experience of hospitals. Every child that receives a teddy gets to take it home.”

Congratulations Brother Stephen Jones and Brother John Lavender on your raising this evening. Tonight saw a joint raising with a candidate from Henllys Lodge 8283 and Llantarnam raised together with officers from both lodges up to and including both Worshipful Masters assisting with the floor work.

Special shout out to our very own Worshipful Master, W.Bro Chris Parrish who did the entire ceremony including tracing board and tools on his own. Very special too see as it was executed to perfection. Great work by all involved to make such a special night for our candidates.

Henllys Fraternal Visit to Trevethin

Henllys Fraternal Visit to Trevethin

A successful night at Trevethin Lodge 6008 where Worshipful Master Neil and his team of officers carried out an excellent Second Degree ceremony! All brethren were on top form, from the Inner Guard all the way up to Worshipful Master himself. What made it even more special was a fraternal visit from the brethren of Henllys Lodge filling the lodge and helping towards a wonderfully fun Festive Board! And so to next month!

Remember non-masons, if you’re interested in Masonry, the first step is to get in touch! 😃👍

Henllys Installation 2025

Henllys Installation 2025

Thursday evening saw over 80 freemasons attend Henllys Lodge 8283 for their Installation meeting. We were proud to see the new Master, Worshipful Brother David Coleman, installed into the Chair of King Solomon in a packed and vibrant meeting.

It was fantastic to welcome strong support from Monmouthshire Freemasons and the Wyvern Chapter Widows Sons who turned out in great numbers to back both the new Master and the Installing Master, Worshipful Brother Jonathan Davies, both proud members of the Chapter themselves.

A truly memorable evening of brotherhood, tradition, and support.
