Welcome Brother Conna

Welcome Brother Conna

Monday evening at Henllys Lodge saw Mr Conna Hutchinson join Freemasonry and become Brother Conna Hutchinson. An excellent ceremony delivered by the newly installed Worshipful Master, David Coleman, in his very first ceremony as W.M. He was ably assisted by his officers, in particular Brother Aron Hutchings in his first ceremony as the Junior Deacon. A well attended ceremony was followed by a very enjoyable festive board and getting to know our newly made Brother.

Henllys Fraternal Visit to Trevethin

Henllys Fraternal Visit to Trevethin

A successful night at Trevethin Lodge 6008 where Worshipful Master Neil and his team of officers carried out an excellent Second Degree ceremony! All brethren were on top form, from the Inner Guard all the way up to Worshipful Master himself. What made it even more special was a fraternal visit from the brethren of Henllys Lodge filling the lodge and helping towards a wonderfully fun Festive Board! And so to next month!

Remember non-masons, if you’re interested in Masonry, the first step is to get in touch! 😃👍

Henllys Installation 2025

Henllys Installation 2025

Thursday evening saw over 80 freemasons attend Henllys Lodge 8283 for their Installation meeting. We were proud to see the new Master, Worshipful Brother David Coleman, installed into the Chair of King Solomon in a packed and vibrant meeting.

It was fantastic to welcome strong support from Monmouthshire Freemasons and the Wyvern Chapter Widows Sons who turned out in great numbers to back both the new Master and the Installing Master, Worshipful Brother Jonathan Davies, both proud members of the Chapter themselves.

A truly memorable evening of brotherhood, tradition, and support.

Spring Ball

Spring Ball

Saturday evening saw the Freemason’s of Pontypool, their wives, family, friends and guests enjoy a fantastic Spring Ball at Green Meadow Golf Club. After a delightful meal entertainment was provided courtesy of the Tena Ladies and Tom Jones, followed by a D.J. and disco. The frivolities continued until midnight. Huge thanks to Worshipful Master Jon Davies and his wife, Angela, for organising the event and all those that assisted them from the Lodges at Pontypool. All four of the Pontypool Craft Lodges, Kennard, Trevethin, Llantarnam and Henllys, were well represented and all enjoyed a great evening. The generosity of those providing raffle prizes and those buying raffle tickets raised £830 towards the maintenance and renovation of Pontypool Masonic Centre.

Worshipful Brother Gareth White, Treasurer of the Board of Management, said at the presentation of the cheque “Thank you all for your generosity. Our building at Pontypool has been a home to Freemasonry for 100 years. This will help to ensure the building serves us for another 100 years.”

Another outstanding social event for the Province of Monmouthshire.
