Gala Dinner
Saturday evening saw numerous Brethren from Pontypool Masonic Centre attend the Celtic Manor Resort for the Province of Monmouthshire’s Gala Dinner at the conclusion of the Charity Festival 2024. Kennard Lodge Installation 2024

Kennard Lodge 1258 has returned a well deserved the summer recess with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the upcoming masonic year.
Our first lodge meeting of the year was an significant and memorable event, an Installation. W.Bro Clint Fisher installed into the Worshipful Masters chair by W.Bro Martin Phillips, and the ceremony was marked by its traditional grandeur and was attended by numerous brethren from several lodges within the Province of Monmouthshire.
Among the distinguished guests were R.W. Bro Richard Davies, Provincial Grand Master, and V.W. Bro Chris Evans, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, whose presence added an air of solemnity and honor to the occasion. Their continued support and guidance are invaluable to the lodge, and their participation underscored the importance of the evening.

The evening did not end with the formalities of the installation, after the ceremony, the brethren gathered for a festive board that was, as always, one of the highlights of the evening. The atmosphere was filled with brotherhood, laughter, and reflection on the night’s significance. Brothers enjoyed a delightful meal, wonderful toasts, and great food.
As we look ahead to the upcoming year, this installation sets the tone for what promises to be an inspiring and productive Masonic year. We welcome W. Bro Clint Fisher to his new role with full confidence and look forward to the leadership and guidance he will provide for our lodge following a wonderful year lead by W.Bro Martin Phillips.
Here’s to a successful year ahead!

Llantarnam Royal Arch Chapter
And we’re off in Royal Arch Chapter with the first installation after the Summer break at Llantarnam Royal Arch Chapter 7901. Great to be in the company of our Companions again.

Excellent Companions Dennis John, Tom Delaney, Alan Chown and Peter Ward.

A well attended Installation Meeting was enjoyed by all.
In England and Wales, there is an indissoluble link between Craft Freemasonry and the Royal Arch, with the Royal Arch being considered the completion of a Freemason’s journey in Pure Antient Masonry.
Craft Masons are, therefore, actively encouraged to become members of the Royal Arch to further develop and enrich their understanding of Freemasonry. If you are interested in becoming a Royal Arch Mason, you should initially talk to your Lodge’s Royal Arch Representative.
The prime qualification for admission into the Royal Arch is to be a Master Mason, of at least four weeks standing, in a Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England, or a Lodge under a Grand Lodge recognised by it.
Henllys Cheese, Wine and Port
Friday evening Brethren from Henllys Lodge together with friends and family met at Pontypool Masonic Centre to enjoy a social evening accompanied by generous amounts of cheese with a little wine and Port. The evening was organised by Worshipful Brother David Llewellyn and the very generous cheese board was provided by Brother Wayne Jones. W. Bro. David also provided one of his excellent quizzes which tested the musical and general knowledge of all present. Brother John Coombs (of Henllys and Pagham Lodge) together with his wife travelled all the way from Aldwick, near Bognor Regis to join in the frivolities. The following day, the social gathering resumed with W. Bro. Dave Llewellyn and Brothers, John Coombs, Wayne Jones and Talbot Thrush meeting up again. A great way for the Brethren to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend!
