A Historic Night for Kennard Lodge 1258

A Historic Night for Kennard Lodge 1258

On 28/01/2028 Kennard Lodge 1258 made history by initiating three Entered Apprentices in a single evening—a first for our Lodge in Living Memory! This momentous occasion was not only a testament to the growth of our Lodge but also a reminder of the strength and unity within Freemasonry.

The evening was further enriched by the presence of visiting brethren from NIOBA Lodge, Armed Forces Lodge, and the Province, whose support and camaraderie added to the significance of the event. Their attendance underscored the strong bonds that connect Masons across lodges and the brotherhood it creates.

We extend a heartfelt welcome to our newest brothers as they begin their Masonic journey. The path ahead is one of learning, growth, and fraternity, and we look forward to guiding and supporting them every step of the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success—our officers, visiting brethren, and members who continue to uphold the values of Freemasonry with dedication and integrity.

Here’s to a bright future for Kennard Lodge 1258 and our new Entered Apprentices!

On Monday evening Brother John Lavender was passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft at Henllys Lodge. The officers performed an excellent ceremony with the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Chris. Evans in attendance. A very enjoyable ceremony with good ritual performed by the candidate and all officers involved. Afterwards, Henllys Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Jonathan Davies, described himself as a very proud Mason. The ceremony was followed by an excellent meal at the festive board.

Christmas Teddy Bear

Christmas Teddy Bear

This Christmas Teddy was a Raffle Prize at the Llantarnam Christmas Evening. Mrs. Janet Penn was the Winner and immediately gave the Teddy to Mrs. Kaeren Jones for use in raising Funds for Disabled Swimmers.  Kaeren was attempting a “Firewalk” over Hot Ashes, which she successfully completed, raising much needed funds in the process! Thankfully no physical damage was reported. The Teddy refused to participate !

The Teddy raised £100.00 at the event, thus adding greatly to the final total raised !

This evening Brothers Heath and Michael Baker were exalted into Llantarnam Royal Arch Chapter. The Brothers were initiated into Freemasonry together and now continue their Masonic journey as Brothers, Brethren and now companions of Llantarnam Royal Arch Chapter. The ceremony was followed by a festive season themed festive board with all the Christmas decorations and trimmings courtesy of Companion Stuart Howells.

Anyone who has been a Master Mason for four weeks can join—and should aspire to join the Royal Arch, because becoming a Companion of the Order continues their voyage of discovery.

Torfaen Mark Installation

Torfaen Mark Installation

This evening Worshipful Brother David Llewellyn installed Worshipful Brother Keith Davies as the Worshipful Master of Torfaen Mark Master Masons in an exemplary manner. The evening was well attended by Brethren from all over the Province. The evening also raised £500 for local charities caring for local vulnerable and less fortunate young people and adults.

A fantastic evening for all the Brethren present.
